Bill Pellicano is a founder and CEO of one of America’s largest privately owned payroll processing companies. A 39-year veteran of the industry, Bill started his career working for Paychex directly out of college in 1980, and by age 27 was the company’s youngest regional manager.
Over the past years, under Bill’s direction, PrimePay has developed and owns its own processing software, a key component of its platform, providing greater flexibility and a scalable model for growth.
PrimePay has evolved into a differentiated company through Bill’s fanatic devotion to highly personalized service. This approach has allowed PrimePay to grow its client base and achieve a retention rate surpassing that of anyone else in the industry.
Bill is a 1980 graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.
Ed Hughes, CPA
Ed Hughes, CPA
As PrimePay’s Chief Financial Officer, Edward Hughes is responsible for managing the company’s accounting and finance functions. He oversees all critical financial operations, including cash management, internal controls, auditing, and financial reporting, and is the company’s primary contact with banks and financial sources, as well as outside accounting firms.
Since joining PrimePay in 1996, Ed has been instrumental in the development of the company’s growth strategy and serves as financial lead in M&A and other strategic deals. A CPA, Ed holds a Series 28 Securities License (Financial Operations Supervisor) as well as a property and casualty insurance license. Ed is a 1987 graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Todd Quarfot joined PrimePay in 2001 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He is currently the Chief Business Development Officer responsible for national accounts, strategic partnerships & channels, and product groups including time clock, benefit services, HR & compliance, and merchant services.
Before joining the PrimePay executive team, Todd spent almost seven years with the Gartner Group based in Stamford, CT. While at Gartner, he served in several leadership positions in sales and marketing, culminating in a role as Vice President, focusing on worldwide sales technology adoption and sales management processes. Prior to joining Gartner, Todd spent more than 12 years with the Eastman Kodak Company.
Todd graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1982.
A former partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Colton and Boykin, James Wilson has been PrimePay’s chief legal counsel since the company’s formation.
Prior to joining PrimePay, Jamie operated his own law firm, where he conducted an international practice in corporate finance, global tax planning, and the structuring and operation of corporate insurance and benefit programs.
Jamie is a frequent speaker on employer-related topics, has published more than a dozen articles, edited the treatise “The Law of Associations,” and published the periodical Specialty Insurance Update.
Jamie is a graduate of the University of Virginia and obtained his law degree from Washington and Lee.
Karen Cimorelli-Moor joined PrimePay in 2014 as Director, Sales Training and Development. She is currently EVP, Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role Karen is responsible for enterprise training, talent acquisition and leadership development across the organization, as well as the inside sales group. Under her direction, PrimePay’s training program has received notable recognition for best in class onboarding and effectiveness.
Before joining PrimePay, Karen spent over 20 years in the yellow pages industry, and digital marketing and online search space at both Bell Atlantic and Hibu. Throughout her career she has held a number of regional and national leadership positions for large-scale sales, training and recruiting teams.
Karen is a 1993 graduate of Temple University.
With 31 years in the payroll industry and 27 years with PrimePay, Rene Crawford works with PrimePay’s executive leadership team to ensure all products, services, and processes are positioned to provide PrimePay’s clients with the greatest possible user experience.
Rene’s experience servicing clients, her understanding of PrimePay’s technical systems, and her in-depth knowledge of PrimePay’s capabilities and products have uniquely positioned her to advise PrimePay’s executive management on innovation and solutions.
Eric Hernandez joined PrimePay in 1997 as a tax associate in our southeast market. In 2014, Eric accepted the position of Vice President, Client Success overseeing all payroll related services and processing centers nationally. As Senior Vice President, Client Success, he oversees all service related areas of payroll processing, online support, HR3 benefit services and ACA compliance.
Eric is a 1991 graduate of Hunter College. He is also certified in LEAN Systems Production from University of Kentucky, College of Engineering.
Steve Jackson is the Senior Vice President of our award-winning Broker Concierge Partner program at PrimePay. For more than a decade, Steve has been fostering strong relationships and empowering benefits brokers to grow their book of business by utilizing PrimePay’s solutions.
Steve has led various teams that created a number of PrimePay’s nationally recognized products and programs. He most recently led in the development and rollout of our ACA reporting solution: the ACA Compliance Navigator.
A thought leader in health care initiatives, Steve is an active speaker at industry events, and the presenter for PrimePay’s monthly broker and employer-specific educational webinars.
Jamie Press is the human resources leader at PrimePay. She oversees initiatives to increase employee engagement, develops policies and programs to maintain a safe and equitable work environment, and works with the executive leadership team to facilitate a high-performance culture.
She brings the same enthusiasm to internal customer service as all of PrimePay brings to its external clients.
Prior to PrimePay, Jamie led HR functions in a variety of business environments, including high technology, consumer products, and manufacturing. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, San Diego and a master’s degree in urban planning from Columbia University.
Jeff Sorrell joined PrimePay in 2013 as Director of Payroll Tax responsible for the northeast region. He is currently the SVP, Benefit Services & Payroll Tax responsible for the leadership of Benefit Services as well as payroll tax processing nationwide.
Before joining the PrimePay leadership team, Jeff gained over 18 years of experience in the payroll industry working for a large national payroll company. There, he served in several leadership positons across the country in payroll and Benefit Services.
Jeff graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in 1995 and received his master’s degree in finance from the University of Laverne in 2002.
Jeffrey Yoder is responsible for managing PrimePay’s technology infrastructure, including security, business analysis, architecture, design, application development, quality assurance, compliance, systems integration, and support.
Jeff oversees all aspects of PrimePay’s technology, with an emphasis on those most critical to building, integrating and supporting the applications with which PrimePay delivers reliable, compliant, and useful solutions for the most complex employment management tasks.
A graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Jeff, who joined PrimePay in 1997, holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He previously worked in software development and technology management in the banking industry.
